Cherry Bookcase


This bookcase has been made from American Cherry from our board store. 
The sides extend to the floor and the plinth boards wrap around the base. The fixed horizontal boards are held with biscuits and the front fascia is fixed with dowels. The grain is amazing and the unit continues to darken. Very nice, John!

The wood you recently supplied was excellent in every way.  The pieces were extremely well padded in bubble wrap and delivered on time. The colour and grain of the oak were exactly right and the planed dimensions were 100% accurate.  The timber was required for a furniture repair.  I had only worked with softwoods before, and I had concerns that I might have trouble handling the hardness of oak.  As it turned out I need not have worried, and it proved to be a pleasure to work with.   Thank you.
